Any ideas? Could be one of any number of contemporary sans fonts. I think it's probably in the search results, but the new tactic of blurring out anything that looks like it might vaguely resemble this is just downright annoying and rather than serve as an incentive to pay for a subscription it's making me think I might have to go back to using WhatTheFont. Shame about WhatFontIs - it used be to really useful. :(

Hello
I'm Alex, the founder and CEO of WhatFontIs.
I understand you are a bit annoyed by the blur, which is understandable.
From your forum posts we can see you have used WFI for a while but i could not find any e-mail from you saying 'thank you', or a payment.
WhatTheFont belongs to Myfonts/Monotype - one of the largest sellers of fonts in the world. They will only detect the fonts they sell (naturally).
They will not detect fonts sold by others or "free fonts". Free as in free for commercial use or whatever license the font creator has specified.
WhatFontis.com is the largest independent font detector, identifying both "free" and commercial fonts, ~550K fonts indexed.
No system is 100% bullet proof due to the complexity of the images and sometimes small differences between fonts.
The cost for one year of WhatFontIs membership is 29.9$/year, less than a designer makes per hour.
If you have any suggestion please share with us.

Thanks for your response Alex and yes I may have seemed a little short tempered but I was in that usual position needing to recreate a logo and then artwork and print/trim/hem/eyelet a banner within the hour and with the MD out of the office (and no access to a company credit card) it was frustrating to hit a brick wall without warning that has never existed before. So for venting my frustration in that moment I apologise because this has always been a handy last-minute resource and the forum does sometimes deliver where the auto search cannot.
Just for the record, I always leave thanks to responses on the forum, even if they're incorrectly identifying a font, because I appreciate people giving up that time to leave a response.
Perhaps if there was some advance warning along the lines of, "You have been using WhatFontIs for x number of months. We'll let you have free access this time, but in the future your searches will be restricted to... blah blah..." it would sit better with visitors, because the site is so often a resource used in the heat of the moment. :)
