About the Product
Script font Miss Rooster (formally Mister Rooster) was created using my graphics tablet in illustrator. It's a proper cursive script font, so it looks like real handwriting.
Script font Miss Rooster doesn't have the complexity of a real hand drawn pen and ink but retains the hand-drawn calligraphy look and feel. It has much simpler paths so should be super quick and easy to work with.
It looks a bit quirky as the letters are playing along the baseline. Some characters are just plain ignoring it altogether. Capital letters don't line up as you would expect; some are taller, and some are fatter. I think that just adds to its appeal.
The uppercase letters look good just by themselves. I like to use all caps combined with sentence case to get that real quirky, playful feeling.
Script font usage
Despite my dark mockups, the Script font Miss Rooster has a playful mood to it, which is perfect for projects that require the personal handmade look like wedding invites, posters and packaging but it will look fine with lots of different design styles.
The font has a ton of ligatures to make the letters join correctly plus a few initial and terminal forms. Using OpenType features in your design application of choice you can turn them on and off to suit your needs.

About Simon Stratford
Hello, that's me or itsmesimon, aka Simon Stratford. I design everything from custom typefaces for advertising agencies to ready to buy fonts for designers (like you) to the occasional digital oil painting for TV and print.
I've spent over 20 years in the design industry, from teaching photoshop, web design, movie promotion, and branding agencies to digital marketing—I think I've done most jobs. I got tired of the rat race and the daily commute in London. So I stopped doing things I didn't what to do—and started doing things I did want to do—more creative things.
So if you want to be part of my tribe, follow me on
