China has over 36 million of digital users that are over 60 years old, and more than 100 million people that are above 50. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These persons spend an average of 136 hours a month on their smart devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China Internet Network Information Centre issued this information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And even more interesting, by 2030, a quarter of China\u2019s total population will be older than 60. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

China’s population is estimated to about 1.5 billion people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That means almost 15% of the total world population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is why the Chinese government asked the websites and mobile apps to redesign the pages and interfaces to be easier to use by aged people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guidelines for an easier to read websites and mobile apps<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

China\u2019s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology<\/a> (MIIT) published guidelines, asking web pages and mobile apps carry out urgent modification before the end of September 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both websites and mobile apps will have to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
