I am pretty sure that you\u2019ve already heard this. And if not\u2026then look around! Take a look at the stores, take a look on your street, in your own town!<\/p>\n<p>Winter holidays are a rough time of the year\u2026some say. Find a present\u2026the perfect present for the loved one, clean up the house, cook the perfect food\u2026find a Christmas tree\u2026not just any tree\u2026but THE TREE\u2026Did I forget anything? Yes and no! I would say yes because what is Christmas without a card? But still, how many of us offer a card to go along with that perfect present? I agree! Probably this is why many people enjoy it so much\u2026it combines a touch of calligraphy with some flourishing characters\u2026everything on a perfect dark cover. In case you wonder\u2026 Chris Hansen created it and although it is used on Christmas cards\u2026it has nothing to do with it. Hansen has created this font (and many other) when we was about 16-17 years old. It took him about half of a year\u2026and it was a perfect hobby during the time he spent with his mother in Australia. He admits it\u2026being away from his Denmark friends was rough\u2026so he needed something to help him spend better times. Funny thing: his girlfriend does not believe that this font belongs to him and that it was created when he was a teenager.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/NMY_St-Nicholas.font\">St. Nicholas<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-72551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/St-Nicholas-300x82.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"82\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/St-Nicholas-300x82.png 300w, https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/St-Nicholas.png 730w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here is something that is strongly connected to Christmas. No, I am not crazy! St. Nicholas is Santa Claus in many cultures\u2026so this font is his special font\u2026<\/p>\n<p>It was created by The Scriptorium- their website is a bit gothic in my opinion\u2026but you should have a look!- over a decade ago. Its creators say that it is the most popular holiday font and that it is based on the title lettering from the early 20<sup>th<\/sup> century children\u2019s magazine St. Nicholas. In case you have no idea what this magazine is about\u2026I can tell you that it was published by Frederick Warne company, the same company that has published Beatrix Potter\u2019s work. Back to our story- this font is special because of the embellished loop serifs on the upper case characters. Somehow, this font has a rustic touch and makes you dream about a white Christmas in the mountains, in a special place with a warm and friendly chimney! If you are not interested in using this in your Holiday project, maybe it will inspire you to have a special Christmas.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Pacifico<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-72552\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pacifico-300x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pacifico-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pacifico.png 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are some good news about this special font: that is\u2026if you are lucky you can use it for free. It is true, you\u2019ll have to dig a bit for it\u2026but\u2026Christmas is preety close!<\/p>\n<p>So\u2026This font was created by Vernon Adams and it is famous due to the fact that you can use it for free! This guy, Vernon, may be a no name for you, but he was licensed by Google and created fonts for a lifetime. This one, Pacifico, was created in 2011. Vernon was talented indeed and I thought that I should mention him here\u2026Unfortunatelly he died in 2016 in a tragic scooter accident.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know about you, but this font is peaceful and quiet and it makes you cuddle in a warm blanket and drink some hot cocoa or wine\u2026or simply eat an apple or an orange.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.losttype.com\/font\/?name=atreyu\">Atreyu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-72553\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Atreyu-300x87.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"87\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Atreyu-300x87.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Atreyu.jpg 686w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Time is money and Atreyu\u2019s creator knows that\u2026 therefor\u2026this font is not for free. If you want to use it you\u2019ll have to pay 20 bucks. This font has a quite contemporary look but you have to know that it was inspired by Gothic Illuminated Manuscripts of the 14<sup>th<\/sup> Century Germany. Probably not the best choice for Christmas, unless you want to be special indeed and draw some attention.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Chopin Script<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-72554\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/chopin-script-font-1-big-300x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/chopin-script-font-1-big-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/chopin-script-font-1-big-768x384.png 768w, https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/chopin-script-font-1-big.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sounds good\u2026almost like Chopin\u2019s music\u2026although I am not quite sure that it has something to do with this piano guy. In fact, Dietes Steffmann was its creator\u2026 This German fellow is a trained typesetter but he got bored and stopped doing his jobs some years ago, in 1966. It was designed by Brittney Murphy. This lady is obsessed with fonts and spends all the time in the world creating them. She likes saying that she is working to make the world less ugly\u2026since 1983. Well\u2026. It looks a little bit frosty\u2026indeed! And it makes you dream about that special white Christmas! There is a small catch here. The funny snowman that I have mentioned previously has something to do with this font. No, it did not creat it. But\u2026it inspired Fontalicious, its creators. It may look funny but this special font, regardless those joyful snowflakes, is quite stable. You shoud try it!<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>MTF Dear Santa<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-72558\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/MTF-300x113.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"113\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/MTF-300x113.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/MTF.jpg 728w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Santa Baby\u2026there is something made especially for you! This font, of course\u2026and some milk and cookies under the tree. It looks like someone is writing something to Santa. I would say a teenager\u2026because don\u2019t call Santa\u2026Baby. But the handwriting belongs to a child. In fact, this was the sourse of inspiration for Miss Tiina.\u00a0 If you want this Christmas flavoured font for your use only\u2026it is for free\u2026If you want to use it to promote your business\u2026you\u2019ll have to pay 5 bucks for it.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/FF_Landliebe.font\">Landliebe<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-72559\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whatfontis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/land-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I simply love this one! It is perfect! It combines in such a great manner traditional handwriting witrh a modern design. It was created by Richard Mitchell and it will make your Christmas PERFECT.<\/p>\n<p>Those are just 10 of the most used and loved fonts\u2026and I must admit it\u2026it is a personal choice. Feel free to add any font you enjoy.
